Our Story

In the early days of 2019, nine young aviation professionals came together to form Young Aviators, a Virginia based non-profit organization, with the goal of giving back to the industry that they love.

Fast forward to today, where, after numerous large scale events, career fairs, webinars, ground schools, and more, Young Aviators is larger than ever, with a network spreading across the United States, and even internationally.

We do it all.

  • If you’ve ever stopped whatever you were doing to look at a plane flying over your head, or wished you were soaring amongst the clouds, you may have caught the “bug” for flying. If that’s the case, and you want to fly, Young Aviators is here to guide you on your journey to achieving your dream, and looking at our Earth from above.

  • If you have a passion for traveling, and serving others, becoming a flight attendant may be a perfect fit for you. If that’s the case, Young Aviators’ vast network can connect you with various airlines, public or private, giving you a jump on your journey to live your dream.

  • The thorough, safe, and efficient servicing of aircraft is imperative to the aviation world as we know it, and mechanics provide the key skills needed to keep aircraft in the skies safely. If you desire to work on aircraft professionally, Young Aviators is here to help you learn about the process, knowledge requirements, practical testing, and other various criteria used by the FAA to certify the safety of aircraft and the proficiency of their mechanics.

  • Air traffic controllers are the guardians of the skies, and the role they serve is critical to the mission of aviation. Working as an air traffic controller is strenuous, as with many aviation professions; however, it is also incredibly rewarding, and Young Aviators’ staff are ready to guide you on your way to becoming the next gatekeeper of the skies.

  • While public attention in aviation is often focused solely on aircraft, the role that airports play is essential to keeping the aviation world in harmony. This is the domain of an airport manager, or operations specialist, and Young Aviators’ network of airport operations personnel across the country is ready to assist you on your journey to becoming the next professional in that area.

  • Airlines are some of the largest businesses in the world, and if you possess both an interest in aviation, and business, aviation business management is a perfect option for you. Not only that, but access to the Young Aviators’ network will provide you with the connections you need to get your start in aviation’s business sector.
